The SKC-Block system is used to protect against falls from a vertical ladder. The SKC-BLOCK permanent fall arrest system is a self-locking device with a rigid guide and is a shock-absorbing connection element in accordance with EN363. The SKC-BLOCK system complies with the provisions of the European Union Directive 89/686/EEC. SKC-Block is designed for installation on all types of strong stairways for structures such as chimneys, towers, masts or structures.

    Description

    The system consists of a guide vertical anchor line made of stainless steel cable with a diameter of 8 mm. The lower end of the guide is equipped with a tensioner. The upper end of the guide is attached to the fixed structure with a screw carabiner. Guide rails longer than 10 m are equipped with a cable guide that protects the guide rail from vibrations caused, for example, by wind. The slider is an individual user equipment installed on the rail in case of need to use a security system. The slider moves up and down the cable during normal user movement and locks onto the cable if the user falls.

    The main elements of the system, such as cable, mobile locking mechanism, cable connector, steel screw clamps and tensioner are made of stainless steel.

    The system is designed to insure 1 employee. Maximum working load from 50kg to 100kg.
