The mechanical device CR 245 11 consists of:
fixing grip, which serves for its attachment to the anchor point;
folding-braking mechanism with a shock-absorbing element in a casing made of reinforced plastics .;
galvanized steel cable with a diameter of 5 mm and a carabiner. Additionally, a breakdown indicator is installed on the carabiner.
All mechanisms inside the device are made of stainless steel.
The device has a side handle. The length of the cable is automatically adjusted depending on the location of the worker. The brake mechanism is instantly activated when the speed of the cable is changed. The braking distance does not exceed 0.5 m.
The use of this device allows you to freely and safely move around the entire work site.
It is used for both vertical and horizontal belaying (in this case, it is additionally equipped with a steel lanyard AZ 800 with a diameter of 8 mm with a fall safety shock absorber).
The permissible period of using the device is not limited, provided that periodic (1 time per year) technical inspections are carried out in a timely manner.
